Robin Elliott is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who provides telehealth services to adults ages 18 to 65 throughout Texas. She specializes in treating mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, and ADHD, and also has experience managing conditions such as OCD, insomnia, trauma-related symptoms, and mild-to-moderate cases of substance use, psychotic, and eating disorders.
Robin’s path to psychiatry began in 2016 and has been rooted in the Texas Tech University system ever since. She earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology, a Bachelor’s in Nursing, and a Master’s in Nursing from Texas Tech, and completed a yearlong psychiatry fellowship at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse on an inpatient psychiatric unit, where she developed a strong foundation in mental health care.
Her approach to treatment is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in evidence-based care. She focuses on meeting patients where they are and working together to develop a plan that fits their needs. As a PMHNP, Robin provides psychiatric medication management along with supportive therapy techniques such as psychoeducation and motivational interviewing. She is known for her calm, thoughtful approach and her ability to make patients feel heard and supported.
While she can treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions, some individuals may benefit from more intensive care. This includes patients experiencing severe or complex symptoms, significant medical comorbidities, or those who may require in-person monitoring or structured therapy. In these cases, Robin is committed to helping patients find the level of care that’s right for them and will assist in connecting them with appropriate resources.
Originally from a small rural town, Robin understands how difficult it can be to access mental health services, which is why she’s passionate about the accessibility telehealth can provide. She is licensed in Texas and sees patients who are physically located in the state.
Outside of her clinical work, Robin enjoys spending time in the mountains, being with family, and embracing life as a new mom.
